Writer's Tool Box

Stopping for a quick break

This year I am writing a novel but today I am taking a little break.

What do you call a story about a broken pencil?
Pointless. – Whee Winn’s book, lots of knock-knock jokes for kids)

Where do pencils go for vacation?
Pencil-Vania. (Whee Winn’s book, lots of knock-knock jokes for kids)

A hungry lion roamed through the jungle looking for his next meal when he came upon two men.
One man was sitting under a tree reading a book. The other man was writing in a notebook. The lion quickly pounced on the man reading the book and devoured him. Even the king of the jungle knows that reader’s digest and writers cramp. (Credit to Writing and Wellness for sharing favourite jokes)

Why do writers always feel cold?
Because they are surrounded by drafts. (Credit to Jokes to Make a Reading Addict Smile)

Do you have any writer’s jokes or quotes you can share today?

  1. 181 writers walk into a bar.
The bartender says he doesn’t serve writers here.
The 181 writers had to edit their comments.
One children’s book writer asked, “why?”
    The bartender says:
“A writer once told me that my first drafts are shit.”
