This year I am going to write a novel so let’s talk schedule.
First off, is my goal time. I have given myself 1 year to finish my rough draft. Now, how do I make that happen?
I would love to be able to do a NaNoWriMo kind of schedule but realistically I can’t. There is work, parenting, house, dog…and it leaves me with a finite amount of me time. It is going to be my “me time” that I use to get my writing done. With that in mind I am hoping for at least 30 minutes a day or 3 to 3 ½ hours a week. This needs to be uninterrupted time though. The other thing that I need to fit into that 3 – 3 ½ hours are these posts for Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils! I would also like to keep writing posts for The Weekend Coffee Share (Heavy sigh and head scratch). For my Weekend Coffee Share friends reading this I will see you on January 31 for a virtual cup of coffee.
So, I hope to post these progress posts on Saturdays and try to do The Weekend Coffee Share at least once a month and it will likely be a Sunday post. Novel work will happen in between.
Last week I posted about favourite story openings: here. I decided that I am going with a sentence about crazy family and the consequences rolled into it.
Do you have a writing schedule?
