Weekend Coffee Share

The bitter scent of burnt hazelnuts floats in the air. I love the way taking a deep inhale of my fresh coffee not only flavours the air but warms it as well.

Well, fellow coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers if we were having coffee I would tell you that this year I have no stock pile of posts. I am thinking that I might need to participate in the Blog Ahead Challenge this year. I participated way back in 2016 and it was great. It is host by Herding Cats and Burning Soup. I found it helpful to have a stock pile of posts because when life happens sometimes I can’t get to my pencil or keyboard…

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the week went quickly at least up until yesterday when it ground almost to a stop. The result of it all is that I feel real tired.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I missed watching season 6 of Outlander this year but I just found seasons 1-4 on Netflix. I hungrily started watching it this week. I forgot how great those first few episodes were. I might have to read the series now too.

Anyway, if we were having coffee I would have to run now. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

  1. To you as well, Shari. I read part of the first book a while ago. Not my thing, then. Maybe I’m still not the audience the books are looking for.
Hope your weekend evens out for you. No Stress Weekend! Whatever a “weekend” is nowadays.

  2. Stock piling posts is a good idea. I have never done it, but can see how it would be great for times like this March when I did my Smile posts and Coffee posts and nothing else. I could throw a stock-piled post in there to tide me over. Anyway, I hope you are resting well this weekend and have a wonderful week ahead 🙂

  3. Hi Shari, I’ve not found a way to have multiple stories in flight with WordPress that I can live with so I have a simple file of ideas I hope to get back to someday. On the other hand, my job has pretty much kept me from writing much so for now the question is moot.
Re: Outlander. I wanted to like it and actually did like 85-90% of it but I just don’t need the graphic sex and rape scenes. I’m not denying the reality of such things. I just don’t need to rub my face in them, so I found other things to watch.
Hope all is well with you and your family. Did you guys land safely and happily at you new home?

  4. I’ve never been able to stockpile posts, I wish I could! What I do have are sticky notes with ideas stuck to my desk hutch, so I guess that’s a start. This looks cool! Starts in October?
