Accidental Camping

The Penis Chronicles presents “Accidental Camping”

It was the beginning of March and we had experienced minus 30 to minus 40 degree temperatures. The snow on our front yard was four feet high if not higher and what is the question that the boys keep asking? “Are we going camping?” “When can we go camping?” “Are we camping this weekend?”

Obviously they really love it!

Now, to be fair this March we accidentally traded our pull behind RV for a fifth wheel. It wasn’t the best time of the year for this kind of transaction for a number of reasons. Anyway, it was this transaction that sparked the camping questions about two months early. Now I used the word “accidentally” because we went to an RV show for a family outing. We all like looking at new RV’s and their layouts. We weren’t planning to trade, but we found a few things in the layout that we loved.

A few of the things that pushed our decision:

  1. Bigger bunks for the boys
  2. Door, not a slider door, on the boys room
  3. Access to the washroom while traveling without opening the slide
  4. More storage
  5. Lights that we don’t hit our heads on
  6. The television is further from the boys room
  7. More open feel to the main area
  8. Table area that works better for our family and a number of other things

  1. One of my coworkers is the same and a few years back he “accidentally” bought a new camper at a camper show – I’m sure that’s why the hold them 😉 I hope you enjoy your new camper, even if it doesn’t keep you quite warm enough at minus forty with hurricane force winds….
