Bewitched Books – The Space Between Bookstore presented by A to Z 100 word stories

Bewitched Books

A bell jingled above the door announcing my entrance. I paused with my feet on a well-worn mat. Dim slices of light cut through the dust caked front window as coloured patches of light danced in through the stained glass behind me. In front of me were hundreds of bookshelves fit into more space than should be inside this narrow building.B The shelves held strange looking books and bizarre looking items. One book caught my eye because it was more dusty then the others. It happened as I moved toward it. It moved! It shouldn’t have moved, but it did.

    1. Good, I am glad that I caught your interest.

I like the 100 word challenge because I feel like it helps my editing, haha. I usually have to pare down what I wrote to get a tighter piece and one that fits the 100 word limit.

      Thanks for reading.

    1. Thank you. As for the 100 word posts part of my goal for A to Z this year was to keep my posts short and easy to read, and I am happy to have some feedback in regards to that choice. Glad that you stopped by!

    1. Perhaps the dim light coming in from the dusty windows and the stained glass in the door cast a bit more light into one section of a shelf and the dust book was highlighted.
