The coffee in my hands offers a nice contrast to the snowy ground outside. As I sip it slowly this morning watching the air I am mystified by the quick change in weather that now fills the mornings with air full of ice crystals and snowflakes. As October 31 crystallized into November the shift brought with it the winter season. The very thought of winter is powerful enough to call to mind a different hot drink: rich creamy hot chocolate. The ghost of a bittersweet coco smell plays phantom with my senses, and who can deny the happy feeling that the smell of chocolate brings.
Chocolate and happiness leads a direct line back to Halloween. Delicious treats aside, Halloween was a hit. This year we did a family Harry Potter theme and it was a lot of fun. Here are a couple pictures of Harry, Ron, Dumbledore, and McGonagall.
How was your Halloween?
